Ronin MX
Gimbal
Equipment Description
The Ronin-MX gimbal is a versatile solution for professional filmmakers looking for compatibility with a range of hand-held camera configurations and near-universal mounting options. This dual-use gimbal is made from high-grade magnesium, giving it a strong yet lightweight build. The gimbal is perfect for light cinema cameras, mirrorless cameras, and DSLRs, weighing up to a max of 10 pounds.
The Ronin-MX offers a tilt axis of 90 degrees down to 135 degrees when mounted, unlocking a wide range of creative aerial filming options. When mounting the Ronin-MX, the gimbal is designed to withstand high G-forces and is engineered to maintain stability, even when mounted on aircraft or fast-moving vehicles. Because it is incredibly compact and lightweight (6.1 pounds), it can be mounted on almost anything or be easily converted to hand-held use.
Operators appreciate the Ronin MX’s rapid setup process and three modes of hand-held stabilization. Its upright operation mode, underslung (suspended) operation mode, and the slimmer briefcase mode, quickly expand the range of angles and movements available while filming. Controlling the Ronin-MX is intuitive and can be easily managed by a single operator. A second operator can remotely pan, tilt, roll, and perform other camera functions to get more out of every shot.
