Equipment Description
The standard non-stabilized remote head from SuperTechnocrane, the Z-Head, is fully modular and can support almost every video and film camera package. The max payload is 80 pounds, measuring 26 inches in length, 8 inches in width, and 24 inches in height. The modularity of this head allows it to hold small, compact cameras while being big enough to accommodate some large format cameras.
It can be operated as a 2-axis or 3-axis non-stabilized head using the 3rd axis add-on, with each axis rotating up to 540 degrees. The Z-Head can be operated using the standard handwheels, pan bars, or a joystick. A benefit to the Z-head is the splash-proof enclosure that allows it to be used in even the most demanding conditions. As the traditional head for SuperTechnocranes, many camera operators choose to stick with the integrated Z-head unless they are looking for additional technical requirements or specific functionality provided by other remote heads.
