Equipment Description

A cinematographer’s job is to capture the directors’ vision on the screen. The technology and functionality of the Scorpio 45’ telescoping crane will allow you to do just that without compromise.

The Scorpio 45’ crane is designed for smooth, silent, and efficient camera movements, even at full extension. Employing the same core technology as the Scorpio 23’, the Scorpio 45 was built to reach a remarkable lens height of 47’ without sacrificing function or performance. The maximum lens height is 46’7” overslung, with a telescoping range of 38’6”, extending and retracting as fast as 8.5 feet per second. The base width is 5’1”, with a minimum door clearance of 7’. The overall arm length extended is 45’11”.

The Scorpio series of cranes are capable of repeatable arm-articulation, programmable limits for telescopic movement, dampening, and compensation on arc movement in both the horizontal and vertical axis. The Scorpio 45 contains the perfect combination of telescopic travel, movement of arms, and a load capacity that creates truly dynamic imagery.
